It's Great To Be A Florida Gator 070111
Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably
still be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement.

Yesterday I was a Gator. Today I'm a Gator. Tomorrow I'll be a
Gator. It's great to be a Florida Gator.

When I woke up this morning my girlfriend asked me, 'Did you sleep
good?' I said 'No, I made a few mistakes.

I have been a Gator since we moved to Gainesville in 1971,
and the first thing I learned was, it is great to be a
Florida Gator.
On CBS SportsLine.com, there was a blog titled "Gator
Fans are the most obnoxious".
So true.
But I must clarify, we are not Gator Fans, we are Gators.
You know you are a Gator if you bleed orange and blue.
When the Gators ran onto the field, you heard deafening cheers.
When Ohio State ran onto the field, you heard "Gator Bait".
Before the Steve Spurrier era, the cry of the Gator was "Wait
until next year." Today we are on top of the college sports universe.
Win or lose, we Gators are still obnoxious, and win or lose,
it is great to be a Florida Gator.
Once again, it is all about connections.
Win or lose, no matter how many times you are disappointed,
you have to have faith and you have to be proud of who you are,
and who you are with. The best feeling for the Gators success
is not in the winning, but in the believing.
